The Hagstrom Super Viking Mandarin Flame brings the concept of the classic Hagstrom Viking semi-acoustic guitar, which, after its introduction in 1965 secured its place in the books of music history in the hands of Elvis Presley and Frank Zappa, to the present with well thought-out innovations. Accordingly, the Hagstrom Super Viking has a 25.5" scale length (648 mm) for a taut sound and cleanly vibrating strings even at lower tunings, whereas the maple neck features an extremely smooth profile thanks to the typical "H-Expander" tension rod. The large body made of laminated flamed maple is stabilized by a solid center block, so that even at high volumes no feedback can cloud the typical semi hollow sound. Furthermore two Hagstrom Custom HJ-50C humbuckers promise authentic fat humbucker sounds with woody semi-acoustic timbre. Last but not least, the push/pull switches in the tone controls provide first-class coil split sounds with transparent single-coil character.
