When designing the Texonian T61, the Maybach luthiers paid particular attention to a lively tone and an authentic vintage feel. The artificially aged nitrocellulose Finish not only conveys the look and feel of a recorded vintage original, but also supports the resonance of the electric guitar, which is built with a classic pine body and bolt-on maple neck. The pleasantly strong "Big C" neck profile with historically correct 7.25" fingerboard radius (184 mm) also promises comfortable playing characteristics.
For the electric tone conversion of the Texonian T61 3-Tone Sunburst, Maybach relies on two single coils from the German vintage pickup specialist Amber. The Amber Twangtone 50 single coils wound with plain enamel wire and equipped with Alnico V magnets in the neck and bridge position promise top-class vintage sounds with a crisp Attack and well-dosed bite in the highs, which are ideal for licks between country and rock. The pickup of the electric guitar is controlled in the classic way using a 3-way switch and controls for Volume and Tone.
Last but not least, Maybach completes the Texonian T61 3-Tone Sunburst with high-quality Hardware in authentic vintage style. On the body, the Wilkinson bridge with brass string saddles and the string guide through the body support the crisp sound of the guitar. Generous adjustment travel of the string saddle also promises clean intonation of the strings. Gotoh SDS-510 tuners on the headstock ensure precise tuning with unshakeable stability.
