The MultiRover from VoicAs is a stereo multiband diode-based overdrive with a lot of character. Like its predecessor the LedRover, the MultiRover is based on a diode circuit, but the "Multi" is specialized in processing three frequency ranges and has a stereo signal path. No matter what audio signal you feed the MultiRover, the module colours the sound very strongly and tends to distort violently. It whistles, rattles, rings and adds harmonics that were not there before. In short, this distortion module has a sound character like almost no other module on the market. For each band, the ridge of distortion and the volume are adjustable separately, and there is also a stepless crossover for each band, which allows you to lengthen or shorten the range of the bands. Thanks to the eight control voltage inputs, it never gets boring and you don't have to modulate everything by hand. Inverted envelopes applied to the drive parameters cause a kind of frequency-dependent compression. If you are particularly careful with the levels, the MultiRover also cuts a fine figure as an isolator or charming EQ with overdrive function.
