A veteran of studio history returns!

The Avantone CLA-10A are just like the passive CLA-10 a true replica of the classic Yamaha NS10 speakers and were designed together with studio veteran Chris Lord-Alge. The reissue of the tweeters and woofers is so good that they can be used as spare parts for old NS10s! As active monitors, each speaker contains its own Class AB power amplifier with 200W of music power each. Compared to most Class-D power amps, this makes for much more pleasant listening with less distortion or rounder highs, which greatly benefits the idiosyncratic sound character of the true-to-the-original drivers. The tedious search for a suitable power amplifier is therefore a thing of the past!

The "built-in" paper tissue

An additional feature is the continuously variable Variable Tissue Paper Control, which - as the name suggests - simulates the common practice of covering the tweeter of the NS10 with a paper tissue. This method manipulates the treble spectrum and makes it a bit more comfortable to prevent fatigue.
