With the 8331AP monitor, Genelec offers an extremely compact 3-way monitor, which is ideally suited for use in post-production and broadcast applications due to its small dimensions. The coaxial system provides an ideal point sound source with an absolutely linear, discolouration-free frequency response for reliable evaluation of mixtures and fatigue-free hearing. The large sound conduction ensures a wide listening zone and excellent stereo imaging. Two oval woofers provide optimum directivity down to the lower frequency ranges. The speaker can be operated horizontally or vertically. The die-cast aluminium housing is robust and extremely low in resonance. The rounded edges of the cabinet prevent sound discolouration. A protective circuit prevents damage if the playback levels are too high.

Individual room adjustment

Interfering room influences can be significantly reduced by means of DSP filters or targeted calibration with the GLM2 measuring microphone/software. The included IsoPod base decouples the speaker from the ground. In addition, the speaker can be tilted and precisely aligned to the listening position.

The Genelec 8331AP is ideally suited for near-field monitoring situations in radio, mastering studios and TV and video post-production studios.
