Genelec 8040BMM - Active studio monitor for mixing and mastering

The Genelec 8040BMM is a versatile studio monitor for music production, post-production and broadcast. It offers an analytical sound image with clearly defined bass, ideal for objective mixing and fatigue-free monitoring.

Its die-cast aluminum housing is robust, low-resonance and equipped with protective grilles for the drivers. Rounded edges and optimized sound guidance ensure a wide listening zone and excellent spatial imaging. The bass reflex design enables precise bass reproduction down to 41 Hz.

With high level reserves and two low-distortion 90-watt power amplifiers, the 8040 achieves asound pressure level of 105 dB and is suitable for rooms up to 30 m². Switchable filters allow adaptation to the room acoustics, while the IsoPod stand decouples and flexibly aligns the speaker. Wall and ceiling mounting is possible thanks to threaded holes.

The monitor has an automatic switch-on and switch-off function that can be deactivated if required. Suitable subwoofers are the Genelec 7360 or 7040. Developed and manufactured in Finland, the Genelec 8040BMM offers precise sound and high reliability for professional applications.
