With the Black Dot variant, the success story of the Powerstroke series is written a little further at Remo . For the development of the Powerstroke Black Dot skins, Remo was inspired by drumming legend Steve Smith. The head consists of a single layer of Mylar film with a thickness of 10 mil (approx. 0.254 mm) with a damping ring, also 10 mil thick, on the outer edge that eliminates unwanted harmonics. The 5 mil thick Black Dot gives the head more pressure in the low frequencies, a more focused Attack as well as a longer life. The Powerstroke Black Dot skins are available in clear and coated.
