Natural sound thanks to state-of-the-art sound technology

The Casio AP-470 is equipped with AiR (Acoustic and intelligent Resonator) sound generation. The characteristics of the sound source developed by Casio reflect the love of detail. The capacity of the installed memory has been increased compared to the previous model to achieve a longer sampling time and better data quality of the waveform. The temporal sound changes that produce a tone that one would expect only from a piano, starting with the initial attack and ending in a beautiful expansion, until the sound finally disappears, are reproduced very naturally in the AP-470.

Natural playing feel

The difference between the sound structures of a grand piano and a digital piano is a difference in timing, from the moment the instrument is played until the sound becomes audible. The 88-key Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action II keyboard in the Casio AP-470 responds with three integrated sensors that sequentially detect the touch of the keys. The simulated Ebony and ivory keys offer a good feel and texture as well as the soft touch of a grand piano keyboard. The detailed crimp surface prevents the fingers from slipping due to sweat and gives the feeling of a perfect fingertip point, even during long games.

Open or closed, the choice is yours

A total of 22 timbres are already integrated in the AP-470. From concert grand, to electric piano, to string sounds, you have a large selection of sounds at your disposal. With the Lid Simulator in the AP-470 you can adjust how the sound should reverberate. The most varied nuances are offered, which perfectly simulate the opening condition of a concert grand lid, from a closed to a slightly opened, completely opened to a completely removed lid.
