But what exactly does the IK Multimedia Amplitube 5 MAX (License Code) version deliver?

New Cabinet Section with VIR Technology

Amplitube 5 has been completely redesigned to deliver a completely new type of DSP. IK's new Volumetric Impulse Response (VIR) uses 600 impulse responses per speaker, 1200 IRs for a 2-speaker cab and 2400 IRs for a 4-speaker cab to create a true 3D array of placement options for the virtual microphones. Naturally, the user still gets access to all parameters and interaction possibilities between speaker, cabinet and floor. Thanks to the intuitive Unser interface, shaping your favourite sound is now even more fun.

Best of all, over 100 cabinets have been re-calibrated for AmplTube 5 Max to get 143,000 IRs! A custom, fully automated and robotically controlled measurement system was even developed for this purpose, so you will definitely benefit from an extremely realistic and accurate sound. Even importing your own IRs and modifying them is possible!
