The Antares Articulator Evo (License) is a Talk-Box Plug-In that lets you use vocal tracks as a control signal for an instrument track. With just a few clicks and independent of the quality of the controlling vocal part, you can create singing guitars, synthesizers and other special effects. It includes a built-in EQ and Formant Modulation section based on Antares Throat Modelling technology, so you'll have plenty of adjustment options for further sound shaping. This plug-in is used to create unusual Guitar and Synthesizer tracks that resemble human vocals.

Digital Talk-Box
Anyone who has ever seen a Guitarist perform when a plastic tube in the musicians mouth served as a control signal for a "Speaking Guitar", knows the basic principle of the Talk Box. A filter, in this case the resonance of the mouth cavity, serves as a control signal for an audio signal of any nature, here the distorted Guitar. But even without a plastic tube, this basic principle of the Talk-Box can also be applied digitally. The Articulator Evo does just that: during processing, any vocal part is used as a control signal. It is irrelevant whether it is sung by a trained singer or by the sound engineer themselves, because the vocals are not only provided with an effect, but their basic characteristics serve as a model for the track to which the control signal is applied. Here every track is conceivable, but especially harmonious instruments like Synthesizers or distorted Guitars profit from this form of modulation.

Apart from the basic elements of control signal and instrument, the plug-in also offers other sound shaping possibilities: the Formant Modulation controls the voice colour of the signal. A built-in equalizer lets you accurately mix frequencies and signal levels. So with the most intuitive control signal, your voice, and some fine tuning tools, you get wonderfully exceptional instrument parts with more feel than any Wah-Wah pedal could ever provide.
