Gentle touch thanks to traditional felt technique

The basis of this unique sound is a classic playing technique: An additional layer of felt was placed directly on the strings that are hit by the hammers. The result is a significantly reduced attack and a round, almost velvety sound with a particularly intimate resonance. The recordings were made in a deliberately small room, which further enhances the physical, almost tangible character of the instrument.

Detailed recording with selected microphone setup

To capture all the nuances of the sound, several pairs of microphones were used: a stereo pair below the keyboard, a pair in front of the soundboard, another on the back and a centered mono microphone. This multi-layered setup forms the basis for the versatile presets, which range from delicate, detailed sounds to more powerful, fuller variants - always with the characteristic warm basic tone.

Sound variety at the touch of a button - including MIDI inspiration

The included presets offer a wide range of ready-to-use sounds, from natural warmth to atmospherically processed soundscapes. Some variants even combine the piano sound with subtle synth textures, opening up new creative dimensions. Each Preset contains customized macro controls for intuitive sound editing. Multi-out presets are also available for production in the DAW, allowing individual microphone sources to be routed separately.
