Portable Phono Amplification in Studio Quality

The ART Precision Phono Pre is a portable phono preamplifier in a roadworthy housing and serves to connect a turntable to any audio input. It combines ART's typical high build quality with a high-quality, low-noise and low-distortion amplifier circuit and a standard-compliant, professional RIAA equalization. Unlike most other devices in its price range, the ART Precision Phono Pre allows switching of the input parameters capacitance and impedance, and adapting the input stage to the different "needs" of moving magnet and moving coil systems.

Practical additional functions

In order to ensure compatibility with any other equipment despite the wide range of output levels of the individual cartridge models and to allow volume adjustment to louder material, e.g. from MP3s, the Precision Phono Pre is also equipped with a trim control for adjusting the output level. Due to the excellent noise values, it also copes very well with low-level needles. A switchable rumble filter eliminates all low-frequency interference in the sub-bass range, such as interference from the platter drive, vibrations, dust and unwanted low-frequency components that already result from the shortcomings of the medium vinyl.
