The Arturia KeyStep Pro Black Edition is a successful combination of Arturia's cult controllers KeyStep and BeatStep Pro. A 37-key velocity-sensitive keyboard with aftertouch is the primary means of playing melodies, basslines and drum triggers. Here you can also use the TR grid to place your beats on the spot. Four tracks can be played in parallel and output their notes and commands to a total of two MIDI ports, eight drum triggers and four CV/Gate/Velocity outputs. The control voltage outputs of the KeyStep Pro can be linked together, making it possible to play a lush modular system in four voices. Of course, polyphony is also output via MIDI . The analog clock/reset inputs/outputs can be used to synchronize, for example, a drum machine from the pre-MIDI era, a Teenage Pocket Operator or the sequencer of a modular system. The metronome built into Arturia KeyStep Pro is output as an audio signal and can be conveniently monitored via the mixer or headphones. An arpeggiator and a random function round off the controller, which is optimized for live and direct access.
