The Dean Markley Blue Steel Electric Guitar Strings Medium is a set of nickel plated, round wound, medium gauge 6-string electric guitar strings, with a heaxagonal core, which have been shock frozen at -148°C, with a gauge of .011 - .052. These strings feature a long life through shock freezing at -148°C. Through this method; the molecule density is increased and so the strings are made more resistant to corrosion. The strings are 8% nickel. A string with extraordinary durability, but unlike most conventional strings with treated or coated surfaces, there is no effect to the sound or playability.
