The Behringer JT-4000M Micro Synth at a glance:

The JT-4000M Micro from Behringer is a mini synthesizer in the spirit of the Roland JP-8000. With its compact dimensions, it just covers the logo of the original keyboard. In addition to the handy size and the reduced knobs to the bare essentials, another special feature is the hybrid sound generation, which can be played in four voices or paraphonically. The capacitive 16-key keyboard will probably not be used to compose trance anthems, but this solution is perfectly adequate for playing the sounds. The hybrid sound generation is largely based on Roland's JP-8000, which is still very popular today and first saw the light of day in 1997. The two virtual analogue oscillators provide supersaw, 2-OP FM, ring modulation, noise and, of course, the classic waveforms square with PWM, sawtooth and triangle. The digital multimode filter is replaced by an analogue 12 dB Lowpass filter, with the VCA completing the signal path. As with the original, two ADSR envelopes, two LFOs, velocity and the arpeggiator with three playback patterns are used for modulation. However, the fully authentic JP-8000 sound is not achieved, as the JT-4000M Micro primarily has a completely different filter design and has no effects on board. The power supply and data exchange with the app takes place via the USB port. This M version has an integrated MIDI TRS connection, which the JT-4000M Micro MIDI can use to receive notes and data from other MIDI equipment. Extensive MIDI implementation has also been considered and 32 memory locations for your own sounds have been integrated.
