The Yamaha Reface CS is an analog modeling synthesizer that unites simple operation, creative sounds and solid dynamics. As an 8 voiced polyphonic synthesizer it features a large range or exciting sounds from raw analog to precision digital. The Analog Physical Modeling Engine of the Reface CS features multiple synth and oscillator types. The Reface CS is also a very robustly constructed mini synthesizer with miniaturized buttons and is able to operate on batteries. It possesses integrated speakers and a clever loop sequencer.

The oscillator types of the Yamaha Reface CS are characterized by flexible LFO and ADSR routing, but also with the unique Texture and Mod controllers. How the Texture and Mod function is dependant on the relevant oscillator types. The 8 voiced polyphonic of the Reface CS allows for complex chords and pads. In Mono mode, fat bass or solo leads can be played.
