Pro Tools software now without dongle constraints

Since Pro Tools version 2018, Pro Tools can also be opened via the iLok Cloud instead of the physical iLok dongle (requires a working internet connection). For multiple licenses, this makes it convenient to use multiple licenses at the same time via the cloud without needing a separate iLok for each device. For offline operation, however, you still need an iLok (available separately).

Cloud collaboration allows multiple users to work on a project simultaneously in real time. Avid operates its own servers for this purpose and provides each user with 1GB of free cloud storage right from the start. Only an internet connection is required.
