With a range of connectivity options, external media such as USB drives, external hard drives, or SD cards can be easily integrated and used instantly. The built-in Engine DJ software analyses tracks at lightning speed once loaded into one of the four decks, enabling an immediate and seamless mixing experience. For an optimised workflow, it is recommended to pre-analyse and organise music using the Engine DJ software on a computer. This process embeds metadata directly into ID3 tags, eliminating the need for further analysis by the SC LIVE 4. A standout feature is the integrated Wi-Fi interface, which provides access to a wide range of cloud and streaming services. In addition to Dropbox, Beatport, Beatsource, SoundCloud Go+, and TIDAL, it also offers, for the first time, direct connectivity to Amazon Music Unlimited—an industry first in the DJ world. A valid subscription to the respective service is required for use. Furthermore, the SC LIVE 4 is compatible with professional DJ software such as Serato DJ Pro and Virtual DJ (software not included). This allows DJs to access d on their computer and control the software directly via the controller. With its extensive features, seamless integration with popular DJ software, and innovative streaming options, the SC LIVE 4 is a powerful solution for DJs seeking maximum flexibility and creative freedom.

The Stems feature enables precise isolation or removal of vocals, melody, bass, and drums from any track. This groundbreaking technology unlocks limitless creative possibilities for customising DJ sets, creating exciting remixes, or delivering unique performances. Engine DJ Stems elevates DJ sets to a new level, redefining the boundaries of what is possible. Since 11th December 2024, stems playback is available on all Engine DJ devices. Usage requires a one-time software licence purchase of $9.99 (for up to four devices simultaneously) and is supported by the following Denon DJ and Numark products:

With the latest update of ENGINE DJ OS, Apple Music is now integrated into standalone DJ systems. Compatible devices now offer direct access to over 100 million songs and more than 30,000 curated playlists. An active Apple Music subscription is required. The "Sync Library" feature in the Apple Music app also enables automatic access to purchased, uploaded and personal playlists—without any manual effort. This significantly enhances the overall music experience. Apple Music is supported on the following devices: Numark Mixstream Pro +, Mixstream Pro Go, Denon DJ SC LIVE 2, SC LIVE 4, PRIME 4+, and PRIME GO+. This integration provides flexible access to music—whether practising, performing, or on the go. In addition, the update includes further improvements such as performance enhancements and stability updates for all ENGINE DJ devices.
