Old-school EZDrummer users will feel right at home in EZD 3. Although the new version has been fundamentally and decisively renewed and improved in all areas, it still relies on the same and well-functioning principles of the older version. The successful philosophy of being able to create professional sounding drums easily, quickly and intuitively for your own song ideas remains, but scores with innovations that speed up and simplify this process.

Starting with the interface, the size and resolution can now be scaled and adapted to your own needs and workflow. In addition, a completely new and extensive MIDI library with +2,000 individually recorded drum grooves in various genres (pop, rock, electronic, hip-hop, reggae, metal, Blues etc.) is added, which can be naturally adapted to your music projects. The improved Tap2Find function with integrated step sequencer helps you find a perfect groove that fits your project even faster, while the Replace Groove feature allows you to easily and quickly combine or replace individual grooveparts of single instruments such as Hi-Hat patterns or bass drum figure etc.

Also improved and enhanced is the Edit-Playstyle, which allows you to easily insert snare drum ghostnotes and power hand playing techniques.

No matter if it's a whole idea, a riff or a fragment - the software provides various suggestions with matching drum grooves, which you can change at any time. The suggestions can then be the starting point for any further editing with the many features such as Tap2Find, Edit-Play-Style, Song Creator or Grid Editor.

Recorded in the renowned Hansa Studios in Berlin and by multiple Grammy winner and producer/engineer/mixer Michael Ilbert (Coldplay, Adele, The Weeknd) you get an "ear candy" of drum sound for music productions of any kind.

Main Room

The Main Room at Hansa Studios is the main recording space, featuring a well-balanced and controlled sound that provides the optimal foundation for pop/rock, singer-songwriter, and even modern pop genres. Two kits were recorded here, each with 5-6 toms, various bass drums and snares, and two full cymbal sets - the Studio kit and the singer-songwriter kit.

Bright Room

If you are looking for a very aggressive, transparent and powerful drum sound for your classic and modern rock or metal productions, you will find it in the Bright Room. Thanks to the full covering of the walls and ceilings with marble and hard wooden parquet flooring, an extremely reflective sound characteristic is achieved. Two sets (Modern Rock Kit & Vintage Rock Kit) with large tom configuration, two full cymbal sets and many additional instruments were also recorded here.

Tight Room

The third room is the Tight Room with its three drum sets Tight & Puntchy Kit, Classic Pop Kit and Hip-Hop/R&B Kit. This is a very special, very small room with practically no reverberation time, resulting in a very direct and dry drum sound. Thus, the aforementioned sets are particularly suitable for very modern productions with an "in-your-face" characteristic, but also producing 60/70s sounds. A total of five configurations were recorded including a set damped with cloths or equipped with open Bassdrum . And naturally, two cymbal sets and additional bass drums and snares are also included here to give you plenty of choice for your own mixes.
