Dynaudio 's Core Sub is an active subwoofer for detailed bass and is suitable not only as an additional speaker for the Core 47 and other monitors, but also for use in an array or mounted on a wall. The Dynaudio MSP+ Hybrid Drive driver, made of MSP and aluminium, is specifically designed for subwoofers and provides tight, controlled bass response and double damping. In addition, four in-house 9" hybrid woofers have been installed to deliver a powerful output with a maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB SPL. Two 500 Watt Class-D amplifiers from Pascal are used for this purpose. The integrated DSP system provides various configuration options, for example for 2.1 applications or as an LFE channel. In addition, there are setting options for bandwidth, SPL and more. On the connection side, analogue and AES connections are available, while a maximum resolution of 24 bit / 192 kHz is possible.
