Complete suspension and pop filter solution

The Rycote InVision USM-VB Studio kit consists of a universal pop filter and a USM-VB mount. This kit is a complete suspension and pop filter solution for microphones with a diameter of 55 to 68 mm and a weight of up to 900 grams. The USM provides up to 12 dB of isolation against unwanted vibrations for outstanding sound quality.

Since the introduction of the distinctive Universal Studio Mount (USM) in 2010, Rycote has offered an InVision mount that can also accommodate large-diaphragm recording microphones for use in recording studios. Like other InVision mounts, the USM utilizes Rycote's patented vibration-resistant lyre mount. These W-shaped lyres are arranged around a central mounting ring with adjustable latches, allowing it to accommodate microphones of different diameters (55 - 68 mm).

Structure and alignment

The holder can be adjusted both horizontally and at an angle so that the microphone can be perfectly aligned with the sound source. There is also the option of neatly routing the cable coming out of the microphone via an integrated cable guide so that it does not get in the way during recording. The pop filter can be firmly attached to the outer retaining ring of the USM and can remain there, while microphones can be changed quickly and easily.
