The clean channel convinces with a particularly transparent reproduction, which brings the character of the used bass and the player unadulterated to hearing. At the same time, the 6-band graphic equalizer allows you to precisely adjust the character of the sound, while the integrated One Knob compressor provides a smooth, rich sound experience.

Overdrive thanks to Microtubes engine

The Microtubes Engine, connected before the Clean section, convinces with the voicings of the Darkglass Microtubes B3K and Microtubes effect Vintage pedals. After activation, a wide range of outstanding overdrive sounds is available, ranging from subtly breaking crunch to middle-heavy Vintage drive to a brute distortion club for modern metal. In order to maintain definition and pressure in the low frequencies, the clean signal can be continuously mixed in.

Suitable for stage use with 900 Watt power amplifier

The Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2 Head is equipped with a powerful power plant in the form of a Class D amplifier for volume reserves suitable for the stage. In spite of the transport-friendly dimensions of the 2.9 kg weight, this delivers a full 900 watts of power, which make every note of the mark-shake sound in the pit of the stomach palpable and make the earth tremble. The Darkglass Microtubes Bass-Head is equipped with two combination sockets.

Extensive connections and speaker simulation

The Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2 also proves to be the ideal sound center for live gigs and recording sessions with its extensive and innovative connection peripherals. In addition to the Pre-DI connector, which outputs the unprocessed input signal in balanced form, there is also a balanced Post-DI connector, which picks up the signal behind the sound shaping elements. There is also a headphone jack with its own volume control for silent bass playing. Another special feature is the integrated loudspeaker simulation based on Impulse Responses (IRs), which is available as a post-DI and headphone connection and guarantees a particularly natural sound experience even without a connected speaker. Last but not least, the Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2 makes contact with the Suit Darkglass software via the USB port, which can be used to adjust speaker simulation and compressor extensively.

Intelligent Footswitch and MIDI

The Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2 also has a MIDI jack and a footswitch connector for control. Already included, the Darkglass Intelligent Footswitch enables the Microtubes Engine to be switched on and the bass amplifier to be muted with just one switch.
