The PRS Archon Classic is a freshly updated version of the two-channel tube amp classic: the 50-watt tube amp. It aimes at guitarists who prefer classic rock and crystal clear clean tones without missing out on modern gain reserves. Compared to the original Archon, the lead channel's gain structure has been revised to a more flexible response - particularly in the mid-range, which makes it the perfect amp for both rhythmic riffs and outstanding leads. In addition to its massive gain tone the Archon Classic's clean channel is also able to deliver a crystal-clear tone from defined c leans to finely biting crunch. Archon series' trademark is its ability to deliver balanced and warm, tight basses, present mids and brilliant highs.

Full tube power with vintage character

The Archon Classic is designed for simplicity and ease of use: dedicated 3-band EQ sections per channel enable precise tone shaping, while the individual channel volumes and a global master volume control enable you to dial in the overall volume. The built-in Bright switch acts as a gentle treble boost, adding extra sparkle and presence without sounding harsh. The global Presence and Depth controls let you fine-tune the overall tone: Presence enhances the upper mids and highs pushing the sound forward in the mix, while Depth shapes the low end - from tight and focused to full and expansive. The tube configuration (2x JJ 6CA7 in the power amp, 6x JJ ECC83S in the preamp) and an integrated tube-driven effects loop make the Archon Classic perfect for the use of pedalboards or complex setups. With its sturdy housing, black vinyl and clear controls, the Archon Classic does not only impress in terms of sound, it also hold its own on the road.
