Nunomo Qun Mk2 at a glance

The Qun Mk2 from Nunomo is a powerful mini synthesizer with sequencer and looper. The digital sound generation can be used either as virtual-analog synthesis with two oscillators, as 4-operator FM or as granular algorithm. The oscillators can be played monophonically or in two voices and lead into a switchable 12/24dB multimode filter with lowpass, bandpass and highpass characteristics. For modulation there is an LFO synchronizable to MIDI clock and four envelopes. The synthesizer also offers an effect with delay, chorus and flanger. The integrated sequencer stores eight patterns with a length of up to 64 steps, including transposition, note length, velocity and probability. In addition, individual steps can be arpeggiated, and randomization, quantization and shuffle can be programmed. Qun Mk2 also has a synchronizable looper that can record about 30 seconds in three tracks with five scenes each.

Whether the looper is fed with internally generated sounds and sequences or with external audio material is up to the user. The scenes can be changed on the fly. There are cut/paste functions as well as overdub recordings. The looper recordings as well as the presets and samples (WAV format) for granular synthesis are stored on the included microSD card.
