The legendary Casino Archtop electric guitar from Epiphone has been convincing with its vocal sound character and comfortable playing characteristics since 1961, which is why its classic version has been heard on the 1966 Beatles' World Tour as well as on Rolling Stones demo recordings. In addition to the semi-resonant tones of the maple laminate with F-holes, two P90 Pro Dogear pickups offer a dynamic sound at the amplifier. Furthermore, the mahogany neck in 60s Slim Taper 'C' profile with 22-fret fretboard made of Indian Laurel offers pleasantly familiar Epiphone handling up to the high registers. This makes the Epiphone Casino the ideal hollow-body archtop electric guitar for any requirement, with true rock'n'roll feel and sound.
Whether rock, blues or jazz, the Epiphone Casino in Natural is reliable and strong in character in any genre.
The resonant glue joint of the neck provides pleasant playing characteristics and additional sustain.
Time-tested composition of the Epiphone Casino.
Supported by basswood bracing, the maple-laminate back, sides and top sit on top of each other with cream binding and offer expressive hollow-body resonance that comes through even without an amp thanks to the f-holes. The glued mahogany neck runs in classic 628 mm scale length and adorns the dark Laurel fingerboard in flat 12" radius. Furthermore, of course, the trapeze inlays are also represented here.
The Casino's signature headstock in a slim open book format features Epiphone vintage-style tuners for ideal tuning.
Features and hardware
The Casino Natural is equipped with two in-house P90 PRO Dogear pickups in neck and bridge position which provide a Vintage-Sound at the amplifier. At the same time, a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Epiphone Diamond Trapeze tailpiece provide a stable Sustain and tone lug. About a 3-way switching and two Volume and Tone controls are given further tonal adjustment possibilities.
