The ESP LTD KH-202 Black Kirk Hammett Signature Electric Guitar is based on a classic bolted neck construction with basswood body and maple neck, which supports the full metal capability of this electric guitar. The construction convinces with a fat primary tone, whose crisp attack provides the perfect basis for tight riffs and fast solos. To make sure that these work easily when playing the guitar, the neck features a fast "Extra Thin U" profile, while between the 24 Extra Jumbo frets of the rosewood fretboard the well-known "Skull & Crossbondes" inlays provide the best orientation.

Hot Pickups for the Metal sound

The ESP LTD KH 202 uses two ESP Designed LH-301 humbuckers as pickups, which were developed in-house and convince with their fat sound. The LH-301B at the bridge, for example, delivers a particularly hot sound that makes the amp scream with focused mids and brilliant treble and pushes every riff precisely through the band sound, while the LH-301N at the neck makes solos sing with its warm sound and smooth tone development. Both pickups can also be fully convincing in clean applications, where they display chords and melodies harmoniously and transparently.

Floyd Rose Special Tremolo

In addition, the ESP LTD KH-202 is equipped with the Floyd Rose Special Double Locking Tremolo, which significantly expands the repertoire of any lead guitarist. Whether it's super low dive bombs or bloodcurdling squeals, the double-locking construction allows even the most aggressive whammy bar actions to be performed without detuning the guitar. The system also convinces with a particularly smooth handling. LTD die-cast tuners are also located on the headstock, which convince with precise running.
