With the Player II Modified series, Fender presents modern interpretations of classic models—now equipped with practical upgrades for an expanded sound spectrum, improved playability, and fresh new colour variations! The new Player II Modified Telecaster blends the traditional Tele sound with modern adaptations, delivering the authentic vintage tone of the solid-body model first released in 1950, but with a contemporary twist. At the heart of the Player II Modified Telecaster are two Player II Noiseless Tele single-coils, which produce the legendary Tele twang and offer crunchy tones, while the treble bleed circuit preserves the high-end frequencies when the volume is turned down. A Fender Deluxe gig bag is included for safe transportation.
The alder body is complemented by a maple neck, which ensures superb handling with its modern "C" neck profile. The rosewood fretboard, featuring 22 medium jumbo frets and a 9.5" radius, provides a pleasantly fluid playing feel, ideal for both chord work and fast licks. The classic 6-saddle string-through-body Tele bridge offers a robust string action, while making string changes quick and easy. The setup is completed by Fender Deluxe locking tuners and a high-quality Graph Tech TUSQ nut.
The typical Telecaster sound is provided by two Player II Noiseless Single Coils in the neck and bridge positions, which deliver an extremely dynamic sound. Thanks to the cleverly integrated push/pull function, an alternative circuit can be activated via the tone control (e.g. serial wiring or parallel operation), resulting in additional sound variations. The treble bleed circuit also ensures that no treble is lost when the volume control is turned down - ideal for nuanced clean and crunch passages.
