The TipTop Audio Model 242t Programmable Pulser in detail

TipTop Audio has realized a completely Eurorack-compatible version of the three-row trigger sequencer 242 in cooperation with Buchla. In the historical original, the triggers were still activated via a plug-in matrix. In the Eurorack version presented here, this is done with an LED matrix and two knobs for navigating within the matrix as well as a button for (de)activating the steps. Row "n" defines the sequence length, which ranges from 1 to 12 steps. Rows A, B and C generate triggers that have been programmed in the matrix. The ALL output OUT continuously generates a trigger, regardless of whether a step has been set in the matrix or not. The two ALTER outputs are derived from the rows A-C using two Boolean logic functions, which could be used as a trigger ping-pong. The gray socket sends out a continuous sawtooth wave generated by the internal Clock generator - ideal for opening a Quad LPG. Period is a control voltage input for the Clock generator, this ranges from standstill to audio range. The CLK and RST inputs allow the module to be synchronized with another Eurorack sequencer and/or a MIDI to CV/Gate/Clock interface. The other inputs START and STOP also require a trigger signal and refer to the internal clock. With the 281t 's end-of-phase outputs, you can create some pretty wild patches. The Model 242t is perfect and eg. other TipTop/Buchla modules like the Quad Function Generator or the Sequential Voltage Source to control.
