With woofers on the side

The Image 2 studio monitor from Fluid Audio is made for near- and midfield applications and offers with the latest DSP development and its newly developed Class-D power amplifiers an outstanding and powerful performance and paired with a first-class spatial imaging and depth of field. Optimal linear transient response is provided by a newly developed integrated AMT tweeter, a custom mid-range driver with aluminium cone and two side-firing 8" ultra-long-throw woofers with counter-rotating arrangement.

Bass power despite closed cabinet

The frequency response offers a bandwidth of remarkable 28 Hz - 30 kHz. The bass drivers are driven by a power amplifier with 2 x 225 watts and offer almost unlimited headroom. The amplification for the mid-range driver is 150 W and for the tweeter 75 W. The Image 2 has a closed cabinet (no bass reflex) and thus offers a lack of bass overdrive. This makes the Image 2 much less sensitive to frequency interaction in the room and also less sensitive to position in the room.
