The Yamaha Absolute Maple Hybrid Studio Drum Shell Set Polar White is a maple/wenge/maple shell acoustic drum kit featuring 6.2mm(TT/FT) 8mm(BD) shell thickness, with Remo heads, hook lugs, and includes a tom holder, all with a Polar White finish. Expression and dynamics makes up the foundation of the new Absolute Maple Hybrid Drums from Yamaha. This was made possible by Hybrid Shell Technology which has already successfully delivered results in the high-end PHX series. The Absolute Maple Hybrid shells are made of maple and wenge, offering an exceptional high dynamic range and are capable of reacting with absolute precision to each strike.

The Absolute Hybrid Maple drums are made mostly of maple, supported by a middle layer of wenge, a very hard and heavy wood famous for its very clear and precise sound. The combination of both woods deliver a saturated and clear sound which isn't lost even at extremely quiet or extremely loud volume levels. The Absolute Hybrid Maple drums ensures for an exceptional dynamic and expressive power.

The Hook Lugs have always been a reason for the popularity of the Absolute series drums and are naturally also equipped to the Absolute Maple Hybrids. These innovative lugs allow head exchanges in a fraction of the time as before as they can be simply unhooked. As a result the tuning screws no longer need to be completely removed. This saves time as well as nerves especially when time is critical. The Y.E.S.S. tom mounts were revised to provide even better vibration behaviour, and we find a worthy successor in the Y.E.S.S. III mounts.
