The ESP LTD Surveyor '87 Black is a faithful reissue of the Surveyor Bass from 1987, the year in which the Japanese company's lineup took off in the rock and metal scene. Just like in the middle of the Wild '80s, this four-string bass features an alder body, while the bolt-on neck is made of maple and carries a Macassar ebony fretboard. The pleasant "Thin U" neck profile with 42 mm nut width offers great playability and room for clean fingering. The passive PJ pickup setup consisting of a Seymour Duncan SPB-1 split coil in the middle and a Seymour Duncan SJB-1b single coil at the bridge provides powerful and varied bass sounds that lay the right groove for almost any style of music. A high-quality Gotoh 201B-4 bass bridge and precise LTD vintage tuners complete the ESP LTD Surveyor '87.
