The Pioneer DJ - DDJ-XP2 is a professional add-on DJ controller for rekordbox DJ and Serato DJ Pro. Compared to its popular predecessor, the DDJ-XP1, the DJ controller offers more functions, has the same robust construction and is just as intuitive to use. With the 32 solid performance pads, the powerful pad modes, especially the transport mode, the slide FX touch strips and the sensitive control of key shift and key sync, you can get the most out of the features of both DJ programs.

Silent cue is also supported in Serato DJ Pro, allowing you to cue tracks silently with open faders on the mixer and trigger them immediately from hot cue points, just like with rekordbox dvs. Apart from that, 16 pads can now be used instead of 8 to control a single mode in Serato DJ Pro. On top of that, the Pioneer DJ - DDJ-XP2 has been given the familiar loop section from Pioneer DJ's flagship DJM-S9 scratch mixer.

Since the launch of rekordbox 6.0 in April 2020, there are a variety of new features as well as a new subscription system with the three models, Free (free), Core and Creative (paid subscription - not included). The Pioneer DJ - DDJ-XP2 acts as a hardware unlock device and activates Performance & DVS* mode without having to subscribe to a paid plan. The download link for the software and all details about the respective subscriptions can be found on the rekordbox website.

Seamless compatibility with rekordbox dj and Serato DJ Pro

Using the DDJ-XP2 with rekordbox dj or Serato DJ Pro feels instantly familiar. Familiar features such as Hot Cues, Beat Jump and Slicer are easy to control and open up a wide creative range for any performance, no matter which DJ software you're using.

Performance Pads

With the 32 low-latency multi-color pads of the Pioneer DJ - DDJ-XP2, you can fully exploit the possibilities of the corresponding DJ software. The performance pads are designed to withstand even the hardest finger drum runs. The touch sensitivity remains fully intact even after long nights and fierce battles.

Slide FX

By touching the Slide FX strips and moving your finger up and down, you can dynamically control the selected pad effects in rekordbox dj or a combination of effects in Serato DJ Pro without turning the selected effect on or off.

For the first time in Serato DJ Pro - 16 pad modes

The Pioneer DJ - DDJ-XP2 offers access to Serato DJ Pro's new pad modes, which provide 16 pads per deck. The modes allow you to assign eight pads to two different functions, such as hot cue mode and sampler mode. This allows you to trigger hot cues and samples at the same time without having to switch modes. Thanks to the other new modes, the creative possibilities are expanded by powerful features such as Pitch Play, with which you can now trigger cue points in twice as many semitones (this requires the separately available Pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Pack).

Support for new transport mode in rekordbox dj

The transport mode known from Serato DJ Pro is now also included in rekordbox dj. This allows you to use the DDJ XP2 pads as transport controls for the music. In addition to play, pause, cue, Pitch up/down tracks and more are also available.

Support for new Silent Cue in Serato DJ Pro

With Silent-Cue, User from rekordbox dvs (license included) or Serato DJ Pro can mute the deck. This makes it possible to cue tracks inaudibly with open faders on the mixer and without having to move the faders, and to integrate them immediately into Mix by pressing Hot-Cue. This is also very practical when performing with turntables and rekordbox dvs or Serato DVS (expansion pack available separately), as it suppresses the typical sound when a turntable is started up.
