The Red Hill D-1-CE NT is excellent for beginners and advanced players due to its grippy neck and solid hardware. Thanks to a lightweight, laminated construction, the large dreadnought body produces a powerful and warm sound that unfolds quickly and richly. Thus, even light touches are rewarded with a respectable sound result. A robust high-gloss finish also makes the instrument a reliable companion on trips, or at campfire sessions. In addition, the instrument can also be connected to an amplifier thanks to an active pickup system.

Construction and woods

The extensive dreadnought body is responsible for an assertive sound. This very traditional design produces transparent midrange and warm bass frequencies, making the Redhill D-1-CE NT perfect for vocal accompaniment and practice. The laminated basswood and an X-bracing additionally ensure an extremely fast response. At the same time, the round mahogany neck with a composite fingerboard guarantees a comfortable grip of the 6 steel strings.

Hardware and Design

To ensure clean intonation over the entire 650 mm scale length, the 43 mm wide nut and bridge inlay are made of high-quality Nubone. Especially beginner-friendly are the smooth-running die-cast tuners with chrome hardware, which allow precise tuning of the strings. Visually, the instrument is rounded off with cream-colored ABS bindings on the body and fretboard, which clearly separate the individual parts of the guitar.

Electronics

The Red Hill D-1-CE is also well equipped for amplified use. The active system transmits the acoustic sound via a piezo pickup directly to the amplifier. In addition, the signal can be individually adjusted with a 4-band equalizer. The comprehensive PS-400T ribbed preamp has an integrated tuner with a large LED display that lights up as soon as the sound has reached the right frequency.
