With the Area 33 Soundlibrary expansion from Toontrack, Meshuggah guitarist Fredrik Thordendal and producer/engineer/mixer Daniel Bergstrand want to redefine the boundaries of a Toontrack Metal SDX and hereby present seven excellent VST drum kits from the metal genre. With more than 190GB of drum samples, herewith you can expect an extraordinary expansion that can be smoothly used in various scenarios. The extremely extensive palette of raw and largely unprocessed drum sounds for Superior Drummer 3 ranges from 14 kick dr ums (also Double bass drums) to 40+ cymbals, 13 snares and 33 toms (floor and rack toms). As usual, the VST 's intuitive interface invites you to experiment, so you can create your very own custom kit.

Just want to get inspired or are pressed for time? No problem - the mix-ready presets created by the two artists will help you find the right sound for your production. Furthermore, this expansion contains a large selection of individually recorded, genre-typical MIDI drum grooves andfills, which can be edited naturally at any time.

The kits were also recorded with 11 additional room microphones to allow a perfect output in stereo or up to 5.1 surround systems.
