Microphone modeling in three dimensions

Edge Quadro is Antelope Audio's most advanced modeling microphone. This Quadrosonic microphone has two rotatable heads, each with large double diaphragm condenser capsules. The provision of four channels for independent processing enables stereo techniques such as M/S, X/Y, Blumlein and even 3D sound. Edge Quadro is the only microphone you need for stereo and 360° recording.

An epic micro-emulation library

Edge Quadro has an extensive and growing library of classic microphone emulations, of which 11 legendary microphone models are already available and 7 more will be launched shortly. The intelligent control panel allows the user to select two different microphone emulations simultaneously, one for each microphone head. Experiment like never before

The Edge Quadro heads offer highest precision and adjustability. They can be rotated silently even when the microphone is actively recording. Each Quadro head can also work in all possible polar patterns (cardioid, figure 8, omnidirectional and in-between). These functions allow almost unlimited variations in tonality and stereo images and allow for a variety of creative effects.

The smoothest of all

Edge Quadro not only sounds incredible - it also looks great! This unique microphone comes with a special luxurious shock mount and two oxygen-free copper Y-cables included. The microphone is housed in a specially crafted, handcrafted wooden case and offers additional protection to its already solid and durable case.

High compatibility

Edge emulations are designed to work hand in hand with Antelope's precision microphone preamps and converters. For maximum accuracy, Edge Quadro can be used with any of Antelope Audio's microphone preamplifier-equipped interfaces, whose built-in FPGA processing functions enable vintage microphone emulation in real time.
Edge Quadro also includes Antelope's native microemulation plug-ins, so you can use any third-party audio interface and even change modeling settings after recording. Antelope's native AFX plug-ins*, available in VST, AU and AAX formats for MacOS and Windows, deliver everything we expect from their industry-leading FPGA-FX, with minimal latency, a high degree of oversampling and precise floating-point calculations.
