Solid mahogany body with 9-hole weight relief
As a classic Les Paul Custom the Epiphone Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom naturally uses solid mahogany for the body and neck. The body has a 9-hole weight relief to optimize both the weight point of the instrument and the resonance behaviour of the body. The mahogany neck, on the other hand, features the Cantrell Custom taper profile especially determined for the reissue model and faithfully reproduces the unmistakable neck shaping of the original Wino.
A reissue model inspired by Jerry's "Wino" electric guitar, the Epiphone Jerry Cantrell Wino Les Paul Custom offers the sound, look and feel of the original.
Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO & 98T PRO
To choose the appropriate pickup, Epiphone resorted to a combination of an Alnico Classic PRO and a 98T PRO humbucker for the Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom . The former serves the neck position and features an original gold cover, while the 98T PRO open-coil humbucker at the bridge provides steamy gain sounds of grunge and rock. Both pickups are wired in the classic LP layout via a three-position toggle switch and true CTS potentiometers for Volume and Tone.
