A loving tribute to the King or Blues who passed away in 2015, the Epiphone B.B. King Lucille offers all the features that the legendary Mississippi guitarist used to create his signature sound. While the semi-hollow body made of five-ply laminated maple provides a lively basic timbre, two Alnico Classic PRO pickups with Varitone switching deliver multifaceted variations of the typical B.B. King Signature sound. Besides a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and precise Grover Rotomatic tuners, naturally a TP-6 Tailpiece with fine tuners completes the equipment of the B.B. King Lucile guitar by Epiphone.

The Semi-Hollow maple body and the comfortable "Rounded C" maple neck of the Epiphone Lucille are glued together.

Traditionally built semi-acoustic guitar

The classically built Epiphone Lucille features a semi-resonant body made of five-ply maple laminate, which promises an airy resonant fundamental sound with a harmonious acoustic timbre. The closed top without sound holes and the solid maple center block significantly reduce the feedback susceptibility of the guitar even at high volumes. The glued maple neck in "Rounded C" profile also fits comfortably in the hand, so that every lick comes out of the fingers with ease on the ebony fingerboard.

While Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers with Varitone circuitry deliver the typical B.B. King signature tone, the TP-6 tailpiece features fine tuners for extra precise tuning.

The electric tone conversion of the B.B. King Lucille is handled by two Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, which transport the characterful timbre of the semi-acoustic guitar with airy dynamics to the amplifier and are ideally suited for soulful clean and crunch sounds. In addition to the traditional 3-way switching, the electric guitar naturally offers the six-position "Magic Switch" of the Varitone switching, which is a significant component of B.B. King's unmistakable sounds. While position 1 is a true bypass that bypasses the Varitone circuit completely, the other five positions call up different filters that remove specific frequency ranges from the overall sound.
