Clutch from WMD is an extensively equipped drum voice for hi-hat sounds. The sound generation is sample-based and combines 8 banks with 16 open/closed hi-hat pairs with 9 integrated pairs of both hats, which are shaped by special filters, Release envelope and effects optimised for Hi-Hats . The hi-hat pairs are triggered via the closed and Open trigger inputs and can also be played dynamically with velocity. The samples contained on the card cover a wide range of hihat sounds, some of which also have a certain recognition value. It is also possible to load your own drum sounds. For fans of various 80s drum computers, this is an invitation to use their favourite hi-hats in Eurorack . The samples from the memory card are declared as level A and can be modulated extensively. The integrated samples form layer B, which can only be adjusted and modulated in pitch. Both levels can be mixed using the "crossfader". With the exception of the triggers, all control voltages can be switched off using a toggle switch. This is useful to make a direct comparison or to build up or end a voltage curve. Onboard effects and a "Feel" control inspired by the Chimera module decouple Clutch from static sample playback and allow you to control the groove and add movement, character and dynamics to each trigger.
