Flame Ton Melody Looper at a glance

Ton is a two-track Live sequencer from Flame with the usual intuitive input features. The module offers a high density of functions on a compact 14HP with a manageable operating range. The bar length, tone scale and transposition can be set separately for each track. Notes are entered using the knob or the distance sensor, which works accurately even in direct light. Note length (gate) and Velocity can also be programmed. Even without a visible TR grid, the notes are not entered offbeat as they are continuously quantised, which makes the term "note looper" even more appropriate. The generated sequences are output via two CV, Gate and Velocity outputs and via MIDI . Clock and Reset inputs and outputs are available for synchronisation, MIDI clock and even pattern change also work. To ensure that the patterns created are not unique, 128 memory locations are provided for sequences. Cool real-time functions such as an arpeggiator, muting, shuffle, last step, Random and glide provide additional variety when programming and performing.
