The somewhat different EQ/Gate software plug-in
With Big Beautiful Door, Boz Digital Labs introduces a new software EQ/Gate Plugin to the market, which can be used to filter out noise even more specifically. The special feature here is the separate processing of quieter and louder signals. A threshold control determines at which volume the equalizer starts to work above and below the set value. More precisely, there are now two EQs that can be separately controlled for quiet and loud levels with the help of 3 bands. The built-in envelope section is used to set the gate's control times: whether smooth transitions or a hard "cut-off" - the gate reacts as you want it to.
Practically, a sidechain function is also integrated, so that the external control of the gate can be carried out as required by the selectable input. Should the low-end of a bass signal "make room" every time the kick drum plays? Or should the midrange of a backing track automatically become quieter as soon as the important vocals are used? No problem with Big Beautiful Door.
