Sound generation

The four synthesis models Warp, Attack, Morph and FM are available. Three of them make use of a pool of 128 waveforms respectively variants, which are processed differently in the respective synthesis model. Complicated? No, each model gets along with three parameters, faster you can hardly get to the desired sound. The epithet 8-bit is programmed with this sound generator because crystal clear and HiFi one would not like to be. The adjusted sound flows into a resonant, digital multimode filter, which offers lowpass, Bandpass and Highpass . Life is breathed in by means of LFO and an ADSR envelope, and you can also record parameter locks in the sequencer. The signal path is completed with the effects processor, which offers ten effects such as chorus, Flanger and Delay as well as six Reverb algorithms.

Sequencer

The sequencer is live or step-programmable and has a memory capacity of 128 patterns, each of which can be up to 64 steps long. Transposing in real time is possible as well as setting Slide commands and other gate lengths. The shuffle (swing) parameter adds more groove to melodies and basslines. With the or 3.0 a 4-track looper was introduced, with which multi-bar jams can be done quickly and easily. The four tracks refer to three internal tracks and the line input. The switchable arpeggiator functions as an additional playing aid and idea generator. Thanks to different voice modes the LIVEN 8-bit warps can be played monophonic, legato or unisono ; for the latter, there is even a detune function, which creates very fat sounds.
