The Sandberg Basic TM5 EB Blackburst Satin convinces as a straight designed allround electric bass with a high playability and a wide sound spectrum. The five-string bass is built in Braunschweig and features an ash body and a five-piece maple-mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and extra-long 35" scale. At the bass amp, a pair of Delano single-coil and humbucker pickups with active 2-band tone control provides versatile tones. Last but not least, the Basic TM5 bass guitar is equipped with a Sandberg Bridge 5 and encapsulated Sandberg Die-Cast Machine Heads.

Sandberg Basic with high playing comfort

For the construction of the Basic TM, the Brunswick company relies on a proven wood selection and a 35" Extra Longscale scale length (889 mm), which guarantees a particularly tight sound with even Sustain . Accordingly, the body is made of ash, while the six-bolt neck is five-piece maple with mahogany dividers and carries an ebony fingerboard. The flat C-profile offers smooth playability across all 24 frets, while the modern body design maintains a perfectly balanced playing position on both the strap and thigh.

With Delano pickups and an active 2-band equalizer, the Basic TM bass guitar delivers versatile sounds.

Delano pickups and active 2-band tone control

The pickups used on the Basic TM5 Blackburst Satin are JMVC and MCFE pickups from Delano, which deliver a wide range of sounds at the bass amplifier. While the Delano JMVC in middle position promises a powerful sound with harmonic depth, the fat MCFE humbucker at the bridge provides a powerful in-your-face tone with punchy mids. The MCFE humbucker can also be split via the mini-switch to create traditional bridge pickup sounds. For precise tone tuning, the active bass is also equipped with a 2-band tone control. With a pull of the volume knob, the Bass can also be set to passive mode.

Encapsulated and oil-bearing Sandberg Die-Cast Machine Heads guarantee precise tuning.

In addition, the Basic TM5 EB Blackburst Satin electric bass from Sandberg is equipped with high-quality Sandberg Hardware . On the body sits the solidly built Sandberg Bridge 5, whose three-dimensionally adjustable tailpieces allow a precise adjustment of intonation, string action and string spacing. On the headstock, behind the zero fret and nut, encapsulated Sandberg Die-Cast Machine Heads with oil bearings ensure precise tuning with high stability.
