Schecter Guitar Research uses the proven set-neck construction on the Schecter Damien Platinum-7 Satin Black, which offers optimum playability thanks to modern detail solutions, whereby the extended 26.5" (673 mm) scale length ensures a precise reproduction of all strings down to the low B string. Accordingly, the Ultra Access Heel guarantees unhindered access to the highest frets at the transition from the mahogany body to the three-piece maple neck, whereas the extremely slim "Thin C" profile fits comfortably in the hand and allows anything to be played with ease.

EMG pickups for powerful rock and metal sounds

For the proper sound, the Schecter Damien Platinum-7 Satin Black is equipped with active EMG pickups, which are not for nothing considered the reference for particularly brute sounds in rock and metal circles. Accordingly, an EMG 81-7 humbucker is used at the bridge to provide scorching metal sounds whose sharply focused mids and highs ensure clean definition and high assertiveness even in the lowest drop tunings. At the neck, on the other hand, the EMG 85-7 impresses with a warm sound that lets solos sing with endless sustain and impresses in the clean channel with a transparent harmonic presentation. The pickups are managed via the familiar 3-way circuit and global volume and tone controls.

Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover tuners

Last but not least, the Schecter Damien Platinum-7 Satin Black convinces with its high-quality and reliable hardware features. A classic Tune-O-Matic bridge is mounted on the body, behind which the strings are guided through the body in string thru style. Behind the Graph Tech nut, Grover tuners on the headstock ensure precise and stable tuning.
