With the B 906, Behringer presents a supercardioid dynamic microphone that has been specially developed for excellent instrument reproduction.
The microphone is particularly suitable for miking guitar amplifiers, but is also ideal for percussion, wind instruments and vocals. The Behringer B 906 has a switchable presence filter that can be used to adapt the sound characteristics to different sound requirements and styles. The filter is set via a slide switch on the back of the microphone with different positions to boost the presence for aggressive metal rhythm guitars or for classic rock and soft jazz and blues sounds.
The flat front design makes positioning much easier. The Behringer B 906 can be attached to a guitar amplifier without the need for a stand. Its side-mounted capsule was specially developed for miking guitar amplifiers with the front facing upwards and extremely close to the signal source. Thanks to its flat design, the B 906 is also very well suited for use on drums, as it can be easily positioned even in confined spaces.
The super cardioid polar pattern is ideal for reducing clipping in tight stage situations, and the hum compensation coil of the Behringer B 906 suppresses interference.
