With the LTD EC-401 QM See Thru Black, ESP is launching a beautiful 401 model that not only comes in a unique design but can also provide a brute sound with two active EMG pickups! The electric guitar has a mahogany body and stands out visually thanks to the cloud maple top with a transparent See Thru Black finish. The mahogany neck with a thin "U" profile allows comfortable handling, while the 24-flush fingerboard made of Macassar ebony guarantees a clean feel thanks to its 13.8" radius. The LTD EC-401 QM See Thru Black is particularly suitable for hard school styles and genres from hard rock to metal thanks to its design, its Hardware and its active pickups!
The ESP LTD EC-401 QM is characterized by its top made of cloud maple and the See Thru Black finish as a chic instrument for rehearsal room, studio and stage!
The EMG 60/81 pickups handle precise high-gain distortion and deliver a dynamic output at the same time!
Active EMG 60/81 pickups
The LTD EC-401 QM See Thru Black features two active EMG humbuckers, which are known for their aggressive sound and definitely feel at home in rough terrain. The details include an EMG 60 humbucker in the neck position and an EMG 81 humbucker in the bridge position. The pickups offer a dense frequency image, which shines with a dynamic output, especially in the bass-mid range, while the trebles skillfully stage every lead solo with assertive accents. At the same time, the EMG humbuckers can not only be fed with plenty of Distortion - clean sounds or crunch are also transported with sufficient saturation for an expression full of character. Two separate volume controls are available for both pickups, while a master tone control is responsible for the tone of the electric guitar. There is also a 3-way switch with which both pickups can be conveniently controlled.

Sturdy hardware
The Hardware of the LTD EC-401 QM See Thru Black is characterized by a robust construction and ensures safe maintenance of the instrument. The bridge consists of a classic Tune-o-Matic bridge and comes with an aluminium tailpiece, which guarantees robust intonation and string action. Grover tuners also ensure consistent tuning, even when extroverted leads or brutal riffs are on the cards. Furthermore, the LTD EC-401 is fitted with .010 - .046 factory strings and comes with black controls and pickup cover.
