The Airlectron Sensor Recorder from Flame is a sunlight-independent distance sensor. The module reacts to hand movements in the range of 2-50 cm and generates a bipolar (+/- 5V) and unipolar (0-10V) control voltage. The freeze button can be used to hold a value and have your hands free again. The recorder/looper makes it possible to record movement sequences for up to two and a half minutes. The recorded movements/voltages can be played back in a loop or once and restarted and synchronized via the start/reset input. Anyone familiar with the D-Beam controller on older Roland grooveboxes will know what this performance controller is capable of.
