With the Cloud Microphones CL-X Cloudlifter you get a versatile, professional studio tool for additional preamplification of your passive microphones. The newly developed Cinemag transformer enriches the input signal with harmonics and saturation depending on the level, giving it a musical and, at higher levels, characterful touch. To adapt the output level to the source, the CL-X is equipped with an attenuator at the output, which reduces the level and 24dB. Since the resistor network is connected downstream of the transformer, the sound is not affected by it, only the overall level is adjusted.

Whether you're recording particularly quiet vocals, acoustic instruments, a loud snare, or a full-on guitar amp, the CL-X Cloudlifter always provides clean, transparent preamp gain and a significant boost in transformer fatness.
