The Yamaha Live Custom Hybrid Set Rock UZU Earth Sunburst is a high-end shell set with hybrid oak/phenol shells. The drum shells in the Yamaha Live Custom Hybrid series consist of a total of 7 layers, three outer and three inner layers of oak each enclosing one layer of phenol. This is a synthetic resin, which gives the sound a massive power and a lot of projection. Another special feature is the extraordinary finish: Here a Japanese technique called "UZUKURI" was used. The softer parts of the wood grain are sanded and pre-painted to have more structure in the finish and to emphasize finer color details.

YES III Tom holders & Remo heads

Another new development is the Yamaha Bass Enhancement Weights, which are attached to the screws on the inside of the bass drum and emphasize the low frequencies much better. The shell hardware is in noble Black Silver and the inside of the shell is additionally painted black. The Tom suspension has also been innovatively renewed: the YESS III system provides even more volume and sustain, and the shells vibrate completely freely. Remo Emperor heads on the toms and Remo Powerstroke 3 on the bass drum are factory installed.
