Upgade, Crossgrade, Core Library on Solid State Disk

Toontrack offers interesting possibilities for users of other drum library products. Users of the previous version Superior Drummer 2.0 can upgrade to the current version Superior Drummer 3. Users of EZdrummer 2 can crossgrade to the new Superior Drummer. If you don't want to download the 230 GB core library you can also purchase it as a solid state disk and stream the sounds from this external disk. By the way, the download of the library is divided into meaningful blocks, so you can leave out the surround areas if you don't want to use them at all, which makes the library download more convenient.

Songwriting-Tool: produce Drum-Tracks with MIDI-Grooves

Toontrack Superior Drummer is the ideal studio tool for songwriters and music producers. Very comfortable drum programming is possible thanks to the extensive collection of MIDI grooves, which provide beats in different variations, breaks and fills. The grooves cover many music styles and can be arranged easily by drag&drop and also vary in density. Superior Drummer 3 makes it easy to quickly create great sounding drums in your DAW. For the new core MIDI library with well over 1,600 individually recorded MIDI grooves/fills, several beats have been reworked and completely re-created. A gigantic pool of really great beats.

Giant Drum-Sound-Library included

The included core library already contains 230 GB of flawlessly recorded drum sets. The library was created at Galaxy Studios and was produced by engineering legend George Massenburg. The use of exquisite studio technology and a large selection of direct microphones, overheads as well as additional ambience and 11 room microphones stand for the great sound quality with maximum flexibility when mixing the drum tracks. Every little detail can be influenced in Superior Drummer 3 to create drum tracks with an individual touch.

Comprehensive Mixer-section in Superior Drummer 3

Superior Drummer is much more than a software instrument with sampled drums. It is a virtual studio that allows you to take advantage of the sonic possibilities of one of the best studios in the world in your own DAW. To create impressive stereo mixes as well as multi-channel audio formats (5.1, 7.0, 9.0) with the numerous miked sound details recorded for each individual instrument, Superior Drummer's mixer section offers everything you need for mixing and editing drums.

The spatial sound impression can already be individually mixed by mixing the ambience and room microphone recordings. If you use the further effects and possibilities of sound editing, Superior Drummer 3 also offers a lot of flexibility in terms of sound design: Dynamics processors, equalizers, tape emulation and saturation effects, and of course modulation, delay and reverb effects. The possibilities here go far beyond natural sounding drum sounds - the greatest playground for sound tinkerers.

Pimp your Drum-Recordings: Audio-to-MIDI-converter

You know the problem: If you record drums in your own studio, you will hardly be able to keep up with the sound quality of big professional recording studios. On the other hand, the liveliness of live played drums in a band recording project can hardly be achieved with a subsequent drum programming. Thanks to the Audio-to-MIDI converter, separately recorded drum instrument tracks can be converted to MIDI tracks, so that the recording from the rehearsal room can be exchanged for a perfectly recorded drum set, while still retaining the original timing of the live recording.
