Seven new FX slots: A total of 20 effect blocks in series and looper upgrade
A major highlight of the MK 2 is its enhanced effects engine. Instead of 13, you can now run up to 20 effect blocks in series. Seven additional FX slots including a second noise gate, compressor, wah, vintage/air chorus, and a double tracker give users more creative power than ever before. Classic modulation, delay, and reverb effects remain easily accessible via dedicated knobs and buttons. The upgraded looper now offers up to two minutes of recording time, ideal for creative layering or practice loops. At its core, the PowerHead MK 2 features a modern processor platform, delivering noticeably faster boot times (~20 seconds) and smoother navigation, especially in performance mode and when switching presets.

A standout feature of the MK 2 is the all-new Liquid Profiling technology, which captures more nuance and realism than ever before. By recording over 100,000 frequency points per profile, the system reproduces amp dynamics and cab resonance with stunning accuracy. The result is an organic, lifelike playing feel - thanks to Kemper's unique hybrid profiling approach. Additionally, the MK 2 supports 8-channel USB audio, enabling direct multitrack recording and re-amping in your DAW - without the need for an external audio interface.
Familiar strengths, new possibilities
While the MK 2 introduces cutting-edge features, the core user experience remains as intuitive as ever. Key functions like gain, master volume, EQ, noise gate, modulation, delay, and reverb can all be accessed instantly via front-panel knobs and buttons. Mode switching between Browser, Perform, and Profile is handled through a convenient rotary selector. For expanded control, the Profiler Remote MK 2 connects via plug-and-play, while external pedals and footswitches are easily integrated. Routing options remain extensive, with multiple XLR and jack outputs for monitor, main, and direct out, plus MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB A/B, SPDIF, and ground lift switches for noise-free signal paths.
